Smartphone Education. A Pedagogical Model for a conscious use of the Smartphone is an educational tool based on the Media Education methodology, addressed to teachers and educators to promote a critical and conscious use of the smartphone among young people. This Guide will be used during the testing phase of the pedagogical model prototype which will take place in March – May.

For this purpose we have created a guide about the pedagogical model. This Educational Guide includes all the necessary information for testing.Is a non-formal and cooperative model; it uses educational method like Cooperative Learning and Role Playing in which the main subject and actor of activity is the working group.

The pedagogical model includes four workshops to be tested in the pilot phase, each dedicated to one of the key elements.

Each workshop contains:

1. The general objectives
2. The purpose of activities
3. The description of activities

1. Each workshop is developed in a path lasting at least 1 hour
2. Teacher/educator must respect the activity expected for the different areas, but can decide how much time dedicate to the different activity, according to class’ feedbacks
3. Teacher/educator can change:
   • Multimedia materials
   • The implementation times of each step; for example teacher is free to expand activities as desired
   • Games, personalizing them however being very careful not to change the purpose of workshop
4. It’s important that teacher/educator records every change during the testing in a documentation sheet, and sharing this with all partners
